Getting the most out of Loop QR
Loop QR is a free, no-sign-up tool for generating branded QR codes. This guide walks through every field and option available when creating a QR code.
Getting started
Go to loopqr.vercel.app. There's no account creation needed to generate your first QR code — the free plan works instantly in the browser.
- Step 1
Brand name
Enter the name you want associated with your QR code (e.g. your business or product name). This is used for labeling and, on paid plans, appears as part of your saved QR history.

Destination URL
This is the link your QR code will open when scanned — your website, a menu page, a social profile, a Google Form, or any live URL.
Note: The destination URL must be a complete, working link starting with https:// or http://. Test your link in a browser before generating the QR code. - Step 3
QR colour
Choose from six preset colours to match your brand: purple, green, orange, gray, blue or pink. The colour applies to the QR pattern itself, while the background remains white for optimal scan reliability.

Style
Pick how the QR pattern is rendered.
- Classic — traditional square modules, the most universally compatible style
- Rounded — softened corners on the position markers for a friendlier look
- Square — sharp, geometric modules throughout
- Dots — circular modules for a modern, minimal aesthetic

Generate
Click "Generate QR code." Your QR appears in the preview panel on the right. From there you can download it as a PNG or SVG for use in print materials, packaging, posters, or digital assets — or copy it directly to your clipboard.
Best practices for scannable QR codes
Keep enough contrast between the QR colour and the white background — avoid very light colours like pale pink or pale blue on white.
Don't shrink the QR code below 2 x 2cm (0.8 x 0.8 in) for print, as smaller sizes are harder for cameras to read.
Always test-scan your QR code with two or three different phones before printing and publishing.
Leave white space (a quiet zone) around the QR code — don't crowd it with text or images.

No. The free plan works without sign-up. An account is only required to unlock paid features such as link editing and scan analytics.
On the free plan, QR codes are static — the destination is fixed once generated. The pro plan supports editable QR links, so you can redirect an already-printed QR code to a new URL at any time.
The free plan supports unlimited one-time QR code generation. Refer to the Pricing page for any limits tied to paid plan features such as saved/editable QR codes.
This feature is in development and will let you embed a logo, menu card, or product image into the center of your QR code while keeping it fully scannable. Follow @loopletss for launch updates.
